Problem:
Internet Information Server (IIS) on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 default behavior is to have ASP.Net web applications disabled.
Dovetail web applications that use ASP.Net require that you have the ASP.Net web extension enabled. If not enabled HTTP status 404 errors will be returned when requesting web pages from the application.
Resolution:
To enable ASP.Net web extensions please follow the instructions in this Microsoft TechNet article titled "Configure Web Service Extensions"
