Problem:

Performing an export with DIET in Oracle on Clarify 12 or above yields an error:

DIET version 2.1.12(d) for Oracle 9i for NT

Resolution:

The problem is that -export is a crude and ill advised form of exporting
data from the database. There is no functionality with -export that
can not be done with -archive or -purge. In Clarify 11+ the Oracle
database versions of Clarify started using the clob datatype. This
resulted in a lot of coding changed in DIET. It was decided not to
take the time to make the changes into -export. Clobs are completely
supported in -archive and -purge.

Instead of using -export, use -archive
