First Choice Software Changes Name to Dovetail Software
Service and Support CRM Provider Seeks to Harness Market Momentum
Austin, TX - September 22, 2006 - First Choice Software, originally founded as a provider of software products and services for the Clarify® CRM user community, announced it has changed its name to Dovetail Software, Inc. The name change is part of the company's broader plan to become a leading provider of Customer Service & Support CRM solutions, expanding beyond its legacy history as a provider of Clarify CRM solutions.
"As awareness grows of the company's CRM product suite, service offerings and capabilities, it is important that our name reflect our expanding capabilities," said Stephen Lynn, Chief Executive Officer. "But while we've changed the sign out front, we haven't changed our commitment to Clarify customers, or to the excellent products and services all of our partners have come to expect from First Choice. In fact, it's that legacy of seamless partnership that is behind our new name: Dovetail."
In addition to changing the company name, Dovetail is also changing the name of its flagship products. Its Customer Service & Support CRM suite will now be known as Dovetail CRM. The optional modules, development platform and administrative products are also being given the Dovetail moniker.
In tailoring its solution to the broader Customer Service and Support CRM marketplace, Dovetail has also significantly expanded its product offering and professional service capabilities. The company recently released two new low cost, high value administration features -- RuleManager and SchemaEditor, and now offers a complete replacement solution for Clarify customers.
In addition, Dovetail recently launched Managed Service capabilities to serve both Clarify and Dovetail CRM environments. With this new offering, customers can now outsource their day-to-day support and administration to Dovetail, including system administration, on-going application enhancements, configuration management, and application tuning.
