As a follow up to my earlier post on Calling Oracle Stored procedures using Powershell, one of our customers shared another example of doing something similar.
I’ve been doing some Powershell work lately, and needed to call an Oracle stored procedure with input and output arguments. I didn’t see a good example that mimicked what I was doing, so once I figured it out, I figured it was a good idea to share it.

Cake, Covers and Best Practices

I love Cake. And while that is true in many different ways, I'm not speaking today about the icing delivery system we all know so well. Instead I'm referring to the band whose most popular song, "Short Skirt, Long Jacket," you've probably never heard.  What I really dig about them, though, is their selection of covers across their albums. War Pigs (yes, the old Black Sabbath song, Ruby (yes, the old Kenny Rogers song), I Will Survive (yes, the old Gloria Gaynor song) and Mahna Mahna (yes, the old Muppets song) are all served up in new ways.
We are pleased to announce that one William Bostwick with Adventist Health System is not only leaving Chicago with some new knowledge on Dovetail’s HR Case Management Software, he will also be going home with a new iPad 3.

FubuMVC Hijacking Behaviors

Have you every wanted a convention to wrap an endpoint and conditionally transfer the original chain to a different one? No server redirect here just plain old hijack your currently scheduled response with another one. This is the FubuMVC equivalent of the classic ASP Server.Transfer. Here are a couple of examples on how to do this.
In light of the upcoming IHRIM conference, I wanted to take a few minutes to talk about tracking Employee Relations (ER) metrics. I noticed several sessions addressing metrics and workforce analytics on the IHRIM agenda, but I haven’t seen any specifically discussing ER metrics. Why aren’t these metrics part of the conversation?
